Bedroom Vastu Tips

Bedroom is the place in the house, where we spend at least of 1/3rd of our time. A Vastu complaint bedroom gives positivity, prosperity and peace of mind. On the contrary if our bedroom is not as per Vastu, it not only create struggle in professional life but causes sleep deprivations as well.

As per Vastu each of the household member should have bedroom in different direction.

Family Head: – Southwest is the designated direction for the Master bedroom. Southwest is the direction related to Earth element, so a bedroom here provides strength and stability. This is such an important point that one shouldn't buy a house that doesn't have a bedroom in this direction.

Eldest Son: – Eldest son of the family should use a bedroom in South or West.

Unmarried Daughter: – Northwest is the best direction for the bedroom of unmarried daughter. This direction also helps in getting her married soon.

Children: – Children can use a bedroom in North or East of the house.

Elders: – Old parents or Elders of the house should use a bedroom in East direction of the house. This place is good for practicing Meditation and spirituality.

There are certain rules which should be followed for each bedroom in the house.

1. Bed should be placed in South or West direction of the bedroom. While sleeping one should keep its head towards South or East. Under no circumstances one should keep head towards North.
2. Bedrooms should be designed such a way so that door is not in southwest corner of the bedroom.
3. Mirror should not be placed in the bedroom. If its not possible, then it should be placed in such a way so that reflection of bed is not seen in the mirror.
4. Heavy furniture and Cupboards should be placed in South and West corner only.
5. North and east must be keep light and empty if possible. This will ensure a positive flow of energy in the bedroom.
6. There should not be any pillar or beam over the bed. If its there then we must hide it with false Ceiling. If its not possible then get it treated with Vastu Dosha Nivaran Yantra or get services of some Vastu Expert.
7. Television should be placed in Southeast direction of the House.
8. Air conditioner should be placed on north or northwest direction of the bedroom.
9. Bed should be made up of wood only. Fibre, Metal or Iron beds are not considered good in Vastu.
